Hot Springs Rejuvenate

Travel about 2 hours south of our city, Ningbo, and you arrive at the luxurious Ninghai, Nanxi Hot Springs.
Known as one of the best hot spring resorts in all of China, it is gorgeous!
The area reminded me of the mountains of Carmel Valley as it is tucked away in the hills.

There are 20 different natural hot spring pools to lounge

in. Each pool with it’s own remedy or Chinese elixir. The little fish pool was great for a giggle where the fish tickle as they nibble away at your dead skin.

I took a girls day trip on a beautiful day and returned rejuvenated!
I’m already planning the next trip, stay the night and take the fast train for more soaking time. Hey, when you can stay in the tubs until 1:00am, who needs to leave?

    Cheers

    1. Hi, middle or end of Feb will be a good time to visit as it is after the spring festival.
      Here are some travel directions:
Take the fast train from the south station, 宁波南站, that only takes about 25 minutes to downtown Ninghai,宁海, then either hire a driver for about 80rmb or make your way to the Ninghai bus station. From the bus station you can take a local bus about 20 minutes outside the city to Nanxi,南希, for about 7rmb. When you arrive in the little town, there are locals with their private cars who will give you a 10 minute ride up the road to the Hot Springs, wen shui, 温水.
