Hongcun, 宏村 Ming Dynasty Village

The town of Hongcun is a Unesco World Heritage site and really has the feeling of stepping back into the Ming dynasty era. The ornate hold homes and detailed entry ways show the prosperous time of this 1400s era.
This town is recently famous for having many of the scenes from “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” filmed.
The montage photo of the inside wall is in the courtyard home where one of the long fighting scenes was filmed.

The town is spectacular!
Great food, a nice bar, friendly inhabitants, and a tourism industry that is not super pushy. Instead, we found this area to be very classy, local, and very welcoming.
I definitely recommend a visit!
