Taipei is an awesome place for shopping. There are a wide array of options from street vendors to high end luxury shopping malls. They are conveniently linked with the subway lines and offer one-stop shopping entertainment at each location. There are food courts with Coldstone, Starbucks, fresh sushi, and multiple noodle options. We just finished visiting The City Super and Fresh Market in the bottom of each Sogo shopping mall at Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT. You can find everything here!
The other day, we ventured to the tallest building in town, the Taipei 101.
Travel down to the food court floor to find a great selection of imported goods at Jason’s (it’s slightly more expensive than City Super, which as the best offerings we’ve found!) Check out all these goodies!
In the Taipei 101 shopping area, there is also the famous Din Tai Fung restaurant. It’s famed for receiving a Michelin star, though I don’t really see what the fuss is all about. I’ve had the scrumptious xiaolongbao dumplings they are known for many a place and I’ve heard they are just as classic as you’ll find from your street vendor. Though the ambiance is worth it here!
Don’t miss the chance for a Taipei 101 photo opp, of course!
