July 4th Birthday in Taipei

July 4th outside of the US is lackluster as to be expected, but I always succeed in making a spark!
I started off the birthday celebrating a day early with my book club ladies power breakfast group. Ice cream sundae to share after French toast! Thank you ladies for your blessings!

Besides having work the day of the 4th, I got a lot of birthday wishes, including a great lunch with Jason. Look at this local spread, yum!

Then, birthday cake at work. I love the question mark candle!

After work, Jason and I make our way to the southern part of the metro line to Xinbitan, New Taipei for tex-mex at the Green Hornet. Thank you friends for joining us to celebrate!

My awesome husband got me this fabulous cake and my amazing parents sent the candles from the states!

The next weekend felt more “American” at the Grand Hyatt Oasis pool party. Great party and great hotdogs!

  1. I’m only late with my birthday wishes here! I wish we could’ve joined you. It looks like you had a fabulous birthday weekend though. I promise I’m going to make it up to you when I’m feeling better and when we don’t have house guests to consider. All my love! xx
